FOOTBALL It was a calm day at Rokewood as the U12s took to the field. The young Emus had the numbers over Rokewood, sharing a few with the opposition too, and won a spirited game. Award winners were Dave Alexander, Hamish Draffin and Andy Wills. Skipton 7.5 def Rokewood 3.4 U15s are still undefeated for the season but had to play a very competitive opposition who were coached well and put the pressure on our best players. FOOTBALL Conditions for football changed this week, with a heavy frost then a good day and surface greeting our Under 12s at Skipton. U12s team enjoyed the firmer surface, kicking 4.5-29 to Waubra’s 0.0-0. Noah Kennedy won the Pinky’s voucher, Thomas Gardiner in his first game received the Skipcoin voucher, and the classy Bowen Corbett received the Bakery award. The ground at Hepburn was initially in excellent condition after being chopped up during the lightning premiership. It had great grass cover and if not for the pouring rain and water lying on it, could have been a great surface to play on. Under 12s churned it up a little, and by the time the senior teams had finished with it was a bit of a mess!

Last Saturday at the Emu Nest we saw a huge crowd for our Sponsors Day and Special Effort Draw. We welcomed our sponsors at noon to say thanks for being such an important part of the SkiptonFNC.
